- * What is SUBLIMATION? (See sample photo below)
- A process where all the jersey design elements (colors, logo, name, number) are impregnated directly into the fabric.
- In other words, nothing is sewn on or printed on the jersey
- This is not screen printing or traditional dyeing.
- In sublimation the patterns or designs are first printed onto paper. The paper and fabric are put together and then under high heat and pressure two things happen: the solid ink on the paper turns into gas (never becoming liquid) and the pores of the fabric open. The gas then penetrates the fabric, leaving a permanent design.
- Rub your hand over a sublimated jersey and you won’t feel the ink. It’s IN the fabric.
- A process where all the jersey design elements (colors, logo, name, number) are impregnated directly into the fabric.
- What are the benefits of SUBLIMATION?
- There are NO limitations to the design
- Any design imaginable can be used
- Camouflage, tuxedo, waves, flames, animal print
- Complex shading or gradient of colors across the jersey
- Any style and layout of numbers or names imaginable can be used
- Any design imaginable can be used
- Colors are permanent (won’t fade or wash out), won’t stiffen or crack; there is no patch to fall off or deteriorate.
- Because nothing is added to the jersey or painted on, sublimated jerseys are very lightweight and breathable.
- There are NO limitations to the design
